Impact

This vulnerability is carried by the bundled github.com/rancher/rancher dependency. A fix is available upstream in rancher, but the earliest rancher revision containing it requires sigs.k8s.io/cluster-api v1.12+, which removed the api/v1beta1 package that harvester's own code still imports. harvester therefore fails to build against the remediated rancher dependency. Upgrading requires upstream code changes in harvester to migrate off cluster-api's api/v1beta1; this advisory is pending that upstream fix.
