Impact

Elastic has not backported the fix for CVE-2026-26931 (GHSA-5vrw-qjxw-89r5) to this version stream. The vulnerability (excessive memory allocation in Metricbeat Prometheus remote_write handler) was fixed in upstream PR #48218, included in Elastic Beats 8.19.13 and 9.2.5. This package builds from the 9.1 branch which has not received the cherry-pick. Resolution requires Elastic to backport the fix or the package to be upgraded to a fixed version stream.
