Impact

The vulnerable component is github.com/rancher/rancher. Per the GitHub Security Advisory at https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-2p4g-jrmx-r34m, there is no patched version for github.com/rancher/rancher (vulnerable range <=2.1.4). Upstream Rancher maintainers will need to release a fixed version of github.com/rancher/rancher in order to resolve this CVE.
