Impact

GHSA-8wv5-x4w7-5gww (CVE-2026-43871) is fixed in libthrift 0.24.0. The package ships libthrift 0.16.0 because thrift 0.23.0 and later add a third type parameter to org.apache.thrift.ProcessFunction, while the Hive 2.3.10 hive-service-rpc stubs used by the thrift server module extend the two-parameter form, so that module fails to compile against a patched libthrift. This remains pending an upstream move to a Hive release compatible with the patched thrift API.
