Impact

braces 3.0.3 is affected by CVE-2026-93687 (GHSA-vfj7-8cjw-p6xm): deeply nested brace patterns can exhaust the call stack and crash the Node.js process. Every braces release up to and including 3.0.3, the latest version published on npm, is affected and no patched release exists. braces is a transitive npm dependency of OpenSearch Dashboards, on which Wazuh Dashboard is built, and of its plugins. It will be updated once upstream braces publishes a fixed release.
