Impact

github.com/grafana/tempo is pinned to a pre-2.x pseudo-version in grafana's go.mod, on a diverged branch from the upstream fix tag (v2.8.4). The fix requires a major version line that grafana has not yet incorporated. Tracking upstream grafana for a release that updates the tempo dependency.
