Impact

CVE-2026-64082 affects the RISC-V ptrace/compat signal code (arch/riscv/kernel/ptrace.c, arch/riscv/kernel/compat_signal.c). Chainguard kernels are built for x86_64 and aarch64 only, so this riscv-only code is not included in the shipped kernel. Upstream additionally fixed this in 6.18.49, which is the version shipped.
