Impact

The vulnerability affects github.com/distribution/distribution v2 (<=2.8.3). No fix exists for v2 — the patches for GHSA-3p65-76g6-3w7r and GHSA-f2g3-hh2r-cwgc were released only in distribution v3.1.0. No backport to v2 has been committed yet.
