Impact

CVE-2026-32637 is fixed in github.com/vmware-tanzu/velero v1.18.1 (https://github.com/velero-io/velero/security/advisories/GHSA-j2g6-362q-6qc6). The only tagged release of this plugin, v1.0.0 (2020), is built against Kubernetes API v0.17, and its source does not compile against Kubernetes API v0.33, which Velero v1.18.1 requires, because the persistent volume claim resources type changed in Kubernetes API v0.29. The newer, untagged plugin code upstream still targets Velero v1.17.1, which does not contain the fix. Waiting for the first upstream release containing the fix.
