Impact

py3.10-filelock ships filelock 4.1.0, the last release that supports Python 3.10. The vulnerability is fixed in filelock 4.2.1, but filelock 4.1.1 and later require Python 3.11 or newer (requires-python >=3.11), so no fixed release can be installed for Python 3.10. Resolution requires upstream filelock to publish a fix compatible with Python 3.10. The Python 3.11+ filelock packages ship 4.2.4 and are not affected.
