Updates

Status

Not affected

Justification

Vulnerable code cannot be controlled by adversary

Impact

jackson-core 2.12.2 is present in the bundled Maven repository only because the build's artifactregistry-maven-wagon 2.2.0 extension (declared in the root pom.xml for the Artifact Registry repository) resolves it: artifactregistry-auth-common 2.2.0 -> google-auth-library-oauth2-http 1.0.0 -> google-http-client-jackson2 1.39.2, whose parent pins jackson-core 2.12.2. It is not used by any Hadoop artifact: hadoop-project's dependencyManagement pins jackson-core (jackson2.version) for all Hadoop modules. This copy is only loaded inside Maven's build-extension classloader to parse Google auth and Artifact Registry responses, and google-http-client-jackson2's JacksonFactory only creates parsers from InputStream, Reader or String, never the java.io.DataInput parser that CVE-2026-89425 affects.
