Impact

jackson-databind 2.16.1 here is not built from product-is source. The distribution assembly (modules/distribution/src/assembly/dist.xml) populates lib/ from the pre-built wso2carbon-core p2 profile produced by p2-profile-gen, so this jar's version is fixed by the upstream carbon-kernel base, not by the product-is Maven build. Raising the jackson properties or dependencyManagement in the product-is pom (via pombump) does not affect it, so there is no build-time dependency fix. Remediation requires an upstream WSO2 release whose carbon-kernel base ships a patched jackson-databind (2.x stream: 2.18.8 or later, 2.18.9 for CVE-2026-54515).
