Impact

The .NET 9 SDK bootstrap is source-built from the dotnet/dotnet VMR. The bundled Microsoft.NETCore.App.Runtime.linux-x64/-arm64 runtime and System.Security.Cryptography.Xml assembly are 9.0.17, which is affected by CVE-2026-47302; the fix is in 9.0.18. Both track the VMR source tag and cannot be advanced independently of it. The bootstrap has not yet been bumped to 9.0.18. Pending an upstream dotnet/dotnet servicing tag that carries it.
