Updates

Status

Pending upstream fix

Impact

Not fixed upstream: Data Prepper is still built on Spring Framework 5.3 with a Java 11 toolchain, and the fix exists only in Spring Framework 6, which requires Java 17. This package ships spring-web 5.3.39, the last Spring Framework 5.3 release published to Maven Central; CVE-2016-1000027 is fixed in spring-web 6.0.0 (https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-4wrc-f8pq-fpqp). The newest Data Prepper release, 2.16.0, and its development branch both still pin Spring 5.3.39 and build for Java 11; upstream has scheduled the move to Spring Framework 6 and a newer Java baseline for Data Prepper 3.0, which has not been released. Waiting for the first upstream release containing the fix.
