Fixed in glibc-2.44 2.44-r8. The upstream fix for CVE-2026-89092 (GLIBC-SA-2026-0016) is commit c90398e00571476711792baacb6d92bd2a7b6891 on the glibc release/2.44/master stable branch, a cherry-pick of master commit cbf59b836645b6ac69ad8c47a560598bc4942ecc. The files it changes (nscd/aicache.c and nscd/hstcache.c) are identical at the build commit. glibc-2.44 is built from the release/2.44/master branch; every build from 2.44-r8 onward is built at commit 34106fee698c83eb0af71d4d0381e66b399be746 or later, which includes that fix. Upstream does not publish tagged point releases from its stable branches, so version-based scanners continue to match 2.44 even though the fix is present.
