Impact

The fix requires github.com/prometheus/prometheus@v0.311.2-0.20260410083055-07c6232d159b, which introduced breaking API changes (textparse.New signature, scrape.MetricMetadata.Metric field, storage.Appender interface). elastic-agent-9.0 pins opentelemetry-collector-contrib@v0.121.0 and elastic/beats/v7, both of which are built against the older prometheus API and fail to compile with the new version.
