Impact

Elastic has not backported the fix for CVE-2026-26933 (GHSA-27qj-9gvp-8rh9) to this version stream. The vulnerability (improper array index validation in Packetbeat protocol parsers) was fixed in upstream PR #48528, included in Elastic Beats 8.19.11 and 9.2.5. This package builds from the 9.0 branch which has not received the cherry-pick. Resolution requires Elastic to backport the fix or the package to be upgraded to a fixed version stream.
