Updates

Status

Not affected

Justification

Vulnerable code not present

Impact

Not a Podman code vulnerability. Upstream Podman maintainers have determined that CVE-2024-3056 / GHSA-rpcc-p8xm-rc6p is a Linux kernel IPC resource-exhaustion issue with no fix available in Podman, and consider the CVE reassigned to the kernel (see containers/podman#24192 - maintainer: "There is no solution in Podman. This is a kernel issue."). The detection against the vendored github.com/containers/podman go-module reflects a contested vulnerability-record attribution, not a flaw in the packaged code.
