Impact

Remediating this CVE requires bumping github.com/prometheus/prometheus past v0.311.x, which made breaking changes to the textparse and labels API surfaces (textparse.New signature change, textparse.Parser.Metric method removed, labels.Labels structure changed). Elastic Agent embeds Beats metricbeat helper code which still references the old APIs. The bump cannot be applied cleanly until upstream Elastic Agent / Beats adapts to the new prometheus API.
