Impact

The vulnerable opentelemetry_sdk crate is pulled in transitively through the foundations telemetry library via opentelemetry-proto. A fix exists in opentelemetry_sdk 0.32.1, but opentelemetry-proto — pinned to the 0.31 line by every current foundations release — requires opentelemetry_sdk in the 0.31 range, so 0.32.1 cannot be selected. Remediation is pending an upstream foundations release that adopts opentelemetry-proto 0.32.
