Impact

web-auth/webauthn-lib is vendored in Nextcloud's 3rdparty tree, pinned by upstream at ^4.9.1. The fix is only available in webauthn-lib 5.3.5, a new major version; Nextcloud has not migrated to webauthn-lib 5.x on any stable branch or master. Remediation requires Nextcloud upstream to adopt webauthn-lib 5.x.
