Impact

Upstream has not backported this fix to 6.18. The fix for CVE-2026-64400 (ksmbd: prevent path traversal bypass by restricting caseless retry) has only been applied to 7.1.4 and later; no 6.18.y or 7.0.y release contains it. ksmbd is built (CONFIG_SMB_SERVER=m), so the code is shipped.
