Impact

Remediating this CVE requires bumping github.com/prometheus/prometheus past v0.311.x, which made breaking changes to the textparse and labels API surfaces (textparse.New signature change, textparse.Parser.Metric method removed, labels.Labels structure changed). Beats source code (metricbeat/helper/prometheus/textparse.go) still references the old APIs. The bump cannot be applied cleanly until upstream Beats adapts to the new prometheus API.
