Status

Pending upstream fix

Impact

log4j-api 2.25.4 ships verbatim inside the prebuilt carbon-kernel distribution zip, so its version follows the kernel release rather than dependency resolution. log4j-api 2.25.5 first appears in carbon-kernel 4.12.48, but every kernel release carrying it also moves the bundled Jackson to 2.21.2/2.21.4, which is itself affected by CVE-2026-59889 and GHSA-mhm7-754m-9p8w. Awaiting a kernel release that carries the log4j fix without introducing newly affected bundles.
