Impact

CVE-2026-96643 is fixed in Pillow 13.0.0 (https://github.com/python-pillow/Pillow/security/advisories/GHSA-g4qv-2jxx-769h), the only fixed release, which requires Python 3.11 or later. This Python 3.10 build of vLLM includes Pillow 12.3.0, the newest release that supports Python 3.10, and Python 3.10 reached end of life on 2026-10-01. A fix for the Python 3.10 build is not planned; the Python 3.12 build of this package ships Pillow 13.0.0.
