Vulnerable code not in execute path

Impact

moment is shipped in this package only as a static browser asset, vendored inside the nbclassic and jupyterhub Python wheels (nbclassic/static/components/moment and share/jupyterhub/static/components/moment) and served unmodified to web browsers by the Python Jupyter server. CVE-2026-17495 is a path traversal in moment.locale() that loads a locale file with a CommonJS require() call. Per the upstream advisory it affects server-side (npm/Node.js) users only. That code path only runs when moment is loaded as a Node.js module, and this package does not include a Node.js runtime, so the vulnerable code is never executed.
