Impact

nic_sampler is a pre-compiled Go binary bundled by NVIDIA with no source available. NVIDIA must rebuild it with a patched Go toolchain to resolve this vulnerability; the newest published release still ships an affected toolchain. The affected file is /usr/local/cuda-13.4/nsight-compute/host/target-linux-x64/plugins/efa_metrics/nic_sampler, built with go1.26.1, from NVIDIA's nsight_compute 2026.3.0.13 archive, the newest release in the CUDA redistributable index as of 2026-09-16.
