Correction: the prior fixed event recorded 1.31.1-r2, the package version current when the fix was observed, but upstream fixed this in nginx 1.31.1 (https://nginx.org/en/security_advisories.html: vulnerable through 1.31.0, not vulnerable 1.31.1+). First Chainguard build containing the fix: 1.31.1-r0, published 2026-05-22. The 1.31.1-r2 value causes false positives for images pinned to 1.31.1-r0 or 1.31.1-r1.
