Impact

The upstream fix ("smb/client: invalidate fscache for fallocate range operations") is included in Linux 6.6.160, 6.12.114, 7.2.7 and 7.3, but has not been backported to the 6.18 longterm branch. This package ships Linux 6.18.59, the latest 6.18 release; the vulnerability will be resolved once the fix is released in a 6.18 stable update. The affected SMB client (CONFIG_CIFS) is not enabled in this kernel's current configuration.
