Impact

False positive. Fixed upstream in Rancher 2.4.16 / 2.5.9 in July 2021 (tracked in rancher/rancher#33590). harvester builds github.com/rancher/rancher commit 07a90f09a491 (v0.0.0-20250828140533-07a90f09a491, dated 2025-08-28), ~4 years newer than and descending from that fix, so we compile the patched code, not the vulnerable version. The alert is a v0.0.0 pseudo-version artifact: the scanner compares 0.0.0 < 2.4.16 against the Rancher product release.
