Impact

The fix requires langsmith >= 0.4.6, but langchain 0.3.x pins langsmith to ^0.3.x. Resolving this requires upgrading langchain from 0.3.x to 1.x, a major breaking change. As of 2026-02-18, elastic/kibana main remains on langsmith 0.3.x, indicating upstream has not addressed this.
