Impact

This vulnerability is in runc's container rootfs-initialization code in the top-level libcontainer package. The runtime binary links only runc's libcontainer/cgroups helper subpackages for cgroup management and does not include the vulnerable code, verified by symbol inspection of the built binary, so the package is not affected.
