Status

Justification

Vulnerable code not in execute path

Impact

CVE-2026-102598 (GHSA-g6x2-hccm-hh4m) affects werkzeug's safe_join() on Windows only: it fails to reject Windows special device names with an empty NTFS alternate data stream marker (e.g. "NUL:"), which can make send_from_directory hang on read. In werkzeug 3.1.6 the device-name check is gated on os.name == "nt", and the fix in 3.1.9 extends that same Windows-only check. On Linux the check is not evaluated and Windows device names have no special meaning, so the vulnerable behaviour cannot occur. This package is Linux-only.
