Impact

CVE-2025-25468 is a false positive for ffmpeg-6. Despite the NVD description referencing libavutil/mem.c, the fix commit (d5873be) only modifies libavformat/iamf_parse.c, an IAMF parsing file introduced in ffmpeg 7.x. That file is absent from release/6.1 and the n6.1.4 tag. Grype DB confirms no remediation path for ffmpeg-6, only for ffmpeg-7.1 and ffmpeg-8.0
