Impact

CVE-2026-54518 (GHSA-rcqc-6cw3-h962) affects jackson-databind 2.21.0-2.21.4 (fixed 2.21.4); Elasticsearch's managed jackson-databind is below this range and unaffected. The detection is jackson-databind 2.21.3 shaded inside the prebuilt Apache parquet-hadoop-bundle 1.17.1 (the latest release), which cannot be overridden at build time. Pending a new parquet-hadoop-bundle that embeds jackson-databind >= 2.21.4.
