Impact

CVE-2026-112907 affects filelock only on Windows, because it depends on Windows opportunistic locks (https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-567q-5qvw-pf92). This package is built for and runs only on Linux. There, filelock 4.1.0 opens the soft lock marker without blocking, so acquire() returns within its timeout and the vulnerable behavior does not occur.
