Impact

The fixes ship only in Elasticsearch 8.18.8/8.19.x/9.x. The 7.x line reached end of life on 2026-01-15 with 7.17.29 as its final release, and upstream ranger, including master, still builds its Elasticsearch audit destination against the 7.17 client. A fix requires upstream ranger to move onto a supported client line.
