Impact

The vulnerable @opentelemetry/core code is bundled through the OpenTelemetry JS 1.x SDK, which pins @opentelemetry/core to the 1.x release line. The sole patched release (2.8.0) is part of the OpenTelemetry 2.x SDK, a breaking major version; the bundled SDK family cannot adopt it without an upstream migration to the 2.x line, so no compatible fix is currently available.
