Fix cherry-picked from upstream commit e47e56d (heap buffer overflow in jvp_string_append/jvp_string_copy_replace_bad). No jq 1.8.2 release exists yet — automation missed this CVE because it is NVD-only and not in the GHSA feed. Stereo PR #87191.
