Impact

The affected code is BinEncoder in hickory-proto 0.25.2, which is compiled and reachable, and the fix is hickory-proto 0.26.1. That version cannot be selected here: hickory-resolver 0.25.2 requires hickory-proto ^0.25 and rama-dns 0.3.0-alpha.4 requires hickory-resolver ^0.25. rama-dns 0.3.0 and 0.4.0 both move to hickory-resolver 0.26.1, so remediation requires the consuming application to upgrade off the rama 0.3.0-alpha line, which upstream has not yet done.
