Spark 3.4 has reached end of life (EOL), and new images are no longer being built. We strongly recommend upgrading to Spark 3.5 to ensure continued support and access to the latest updates.

This CVE is caused by netty-handler, updating this dependency to the fix version (v4.1.118) causes build failures due to changes that have been introduced since the version defined in the project (v4.1.87). Upstream maintainers will need to backport changes slated for the spark v4.0.0 release in order to remediate this.
