Justification

Vulnerable code not present

Impact

hickory-resolver 0.24.4 is declared here with default features only, and default = ['system-config', 'tokio-runtime']. DNSSEC validation is gated behind the dnssec-ring or dnssec-openssl features, neither of which is enabled; the package's lockfile pulls no crypto backend under hickory. GHSA-5j98-2g5x-46v6 only manifests on a resolver with DNSSEC validation enabled, so the vulnerable code is not present in this artifact.
