github.com/prometheus/prometheus is a transitive dependency brought in by prometheusreceiver. Upgrading to the fixed version of prometheus results in build failures due to a change in its build-time API. Upstream maintainers of OpenTelemetry Collector will need to release a fixed version of prometheusreceiver.
