Impact

The bundled elasticsearch 8.19.x distribution pins netty 4.1.132.Final, which falls within the vulnerable range for these netty CVEs (fix is in 4.1.133.Final or 4.2.13.Final). Elasticsearch 8.19 is on the maintenance line; the latest 8.19.15 release (April 2026) has not bumped netty, and the netty jars are shipped inside the upstream ES tarball rather than rebuilt at our build time. Remediating these CVEs requires upstream Elasticsearch to release an 8.19.16 with a netty bump, or upstream SonarQube to move to a newer Elasticsearch major (9.x).
