Impact

apache/thrift >=0.13.0 (the GO-2021-0101 fix) does not compile against cadence v1.4.0: its RPC stack (tchannel-go v1.22.2, go.uber.org/cadence v0.19.0) uses the pre-context thrift API, so upstream pins thrift to v0.0.0-20161221203622 via a go.mod replace. Upstream fixed this on main only via a coordinated RPC-stack migration (tchannel-go->v1.34.4, go-client->v1.3.0, thrift replace->v0.16.0) that regenerates ~10k lines of .gen/go stubs - not backportable to v1.4.0. Present in v1.4.1-prerelease tags but no released version yet.
