Impact

jackson-databind 2.21.3 is bundled/shaded inside opensaml-3.7.0.0-all.jar (org.opensaml, a pre-built binary artifact) in the opensearch-security plugin. The embedded jackson-databind cannot be updated independently via the OpenSearch dependency catalog. Resolution requires an upstream OpenSAML release bundling a fixed jackson-databind (>=2.21.4; CVE-2026-54515 requires >=2.21.5, not yet released on Maven Central).
