Impact

CVE-2026-42151 affects github.com/prometheus/prometheus >=0.45.2,<0.311.3 via the Azure AD remote-write OAuth secret in storage/remote/azuread. This package pins prometheus at pseudo-version v1.8.2-0.20210430082741-2a4b8e12bbf2 (confirmed with go version -m on the built binary), which pre-dates the azuread feature and sorts above the 0.311.3 upper bound in Go module semver, so it is outside the affected range. Not affected.
