Impact

False positive. Fixed upstream in Rancher 2.4.16 / 2.5.9 via rancher/rancher#33589 (advisory GHSA-gqf8-rvrh-g7w6, July 2021). harvester-fips builds github.com/rancher/rancher commit 07a90f09a491 (v0.0.0-20250828140533-07a90f09a491, dated 2025-08-28), ~4 years newer than and descending from that fix, so the patched code is what we ship. The alert is a v0.0.0 pseudo-version artifact: the scanner compares 0.0.0 < 2.4.16 against the Rancher product release.
