Impact

CVE-2026-85731 has no fixed release for oras.land/oras-go v1, which the bundled devfile binary depends on at v1.2.5. Upstream fixed it only in the oras.land/oras-go/v2 module at v2.6.2 (https://github.com/oras-project/oras-go/releases/tag/v2.6.2); the v1 file store's tar-extraction code is unchanged through v1.2.7, the newest v1 release. The latest devfile gem (0.5.6) still requires oras-go v1.2.5, so the binary cannot take the fix through a version change. Waiting for the first upstream release containing the fix.
