Impact

jackson-core 2.16.2 is shaded inside opensaml-3.5.0.0-all.jar, which is a shadow JAR built by the opensearch-security libs/opensaml subproject. This bundled copy cannot be updated via dependency management from our side — it requires an upstream release of opensearch-security that rebuilds the opensaml shadow JAR with a newer jackson version.
